Bug ID: 387545
Summary: invert selection does not work
Product: krita
Version: 3.3.2
Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Tools
Assignee: krita-bugs-***@kde.org
Reporter: ***@gmx.net
Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 109186
--> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=109186&action=edit
left:background right:inverted

I selected the background of a photo with the continous selection tool and
refined the selection with Shift-Clicks.
Then I inverted the selection. Doing so created artifacts. Calling Invert
Selection again resulted in the original selection, but the inverted one was
broken.
I attached cropped screenshots of a region: left is with background selected,
right is the inversion

What is probably going on here is that Krita's selection system can handle
semi-transparent selections, but they are not visible in the standard display
mode:

Turn off anti-aliasing: https://docs.krita.org/Contiguous_Selection_Tool

Or turn on the alternate display mode:
https://docs.krita.org/Selections#Display_Modes

If this doesn't solve your problem, reopen the bug.
