Sorry for the late answer,

do you still encounter that error? I tried it with my installation of ownCloud
2.0 as well as with the 1.1 on PackageCloud and they both worked perfectly
fine.

It might have been a temporary error with PackageCloud so it would be great if
you could try again and let us know.

If I remember correctly, the problem was that sometimes the mount-URL needed to
be "http://myuser.packagecloud.com/oc/webdav/" instead - when I deployed the
package again, the URL needed to end with owncloud.php. I don't know why is
that, so maybe THAT is the real bug?

I just tried it again and the following command works for me (Ubuntu 11.04):
sudo mount.davfs http://myuser.packagecloud.com/owncloud/webdav/owncloud.php
/mnt/mountpoint/

Although I got an error the first time I run the command:
mount.davfs: Mounting failed.
Could not authenticate to server: rejected Basic challenge

It worked the second time. When I omit the owncloud.php at the end I get:
mount.davfs: mounting failed; the server does not support WebDAV

So, is this still a problem for you or did it work after deploying again?

I’m closing this as it concerns version 1.2 – we develop on version 2.0 at the
moment.
