Bug ID: 342826
Summary: add possibility to duplicate panel to other screens
Product: plasma
Version: unspecified
Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: panel
Assignee: plasma-***@kde.org
Reporter: ***@gmail.com
I often use KDE with different display setups. Currently I have to add/remove
separate panel to the newly (dis)connected display every time.
It would be the easiest if there was possibility to just duplicate the current
panel to other screens (even greater if it was possible to choose the screens).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect new screen to computer
Actual Results:
New screen is configured without any panels.
Expected Results:
New screen has automatically the same panel that has been set to be duplicated
on other screens.
If the panel is maximized, maximize the duplicate instance of the panel too; if
its size is set manually then reduce its size if it does not fit the new
screen, otherwise use the configured size.
Widgets should be also aware of the screens, eg. Task Manager's setting "Only
show tasks from the current screen".
